Mohanan is currently gearing up for her Telugu debut The Raja Saab alongside acclaimed actor Prabhas. With the next set to release next month, the actress has candidly spoken about her happiness and 'dream' of working with the superstar. During an exclusive conversation, she recalled watching his film Baahubali, which made her 'mesmerised' when she longed for getting a role in Salaar (2023), directed by Prashanth Neel. Fir the unversed, The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, is the upcoming romantic-horror-comedy film produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment.

While exclusively talking to us on Zoom, Malavika Mohanan expressed, "I remember jab maine pehli baar Baahubali dekhi thi, I was so mesmerised by the film. I am such a big Prabhas fan that it was my dream ki mai Telugu mein debut karu toh Prabhas ke sath karu. It was like you don't know if its going to happen but my ideal case, dream scenario would be this, sort of a wish."She further recalled a previous opportunity to work with the legendary actor as she mentioned, "The funny thing is I remember Prashanth Neil sir, jo Salaar ke director hai, he was casting for the film and he approached me for that movie. He wanted me for the film but due to some reason, it didn't work out."She added, "Within 6-8 months, mughe iss film (The Raja Saab) ke liye call kiya. And I was like what are the odds, you know. Another chance to make my debut with Prabhas sir, and it worked out. Its been 2.5 years since we started the movie."

Malavika gives sneak-peek into the film

She explained that "It is a big movie with a lot of sets, a lot of VFX. Kaafi time laga to finish the film, to get everything done but its finally ready, up for release on January 9 and I had a fantastic time working with him."Take a look at the entire interview here:

The Raja Saab also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar.Apart from The Raja Saab, Prabhas is set for a steller lineup of upcoming films including Spirit, Fauzi, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, and Kalki 2898 AD Part 2.
