actor Sunil Thapa passed away today (February 7) at the age of 68. He breathed his last at the Norvic Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu, Nepal. Sunil Thapa’s demise has indeed left the entire Nepali and Indian fan base in deep shock and sorrow. The late veteran actor had worked in some of the popular Bollywood films and web series. Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle and shared some moments from Mary Kom featuring the late actor Sunil Thapa, who played the role of her coach in the film. In an emotional note, the global actress mentioned that Thala will always be her coach. The Dostana actress stated, “You kept me together when I had just lost my dad. You loved me and helped me through many tough days without even realizing.” (sic) Moreover, Priyanka also remembered warm hugs and infectious laughs of the late actor.
Priyanka Chopra also stated that Sunil Thapa will never be forgotten. The diva stated that her condolences and prayers will always be with the departed soul’s family.

According to The Kathmandu Post, the doctors conducted an ECG at 7:55 AM to find out the cause of his death. They suspect a cardiac arrest. Sunil Thapa stayed in Nepal, but his family members live in Mumbai. He was the renowned actor in the Nepali film industry. The actor had also worked in Hindi, Bhojpuri and Telugu films.
