While many have lauded the movie, a certain section of the audience has called it 'propaganda'. Amid this, Ravi Kishan has come out in support of the Ranveer Singh-starrer. In an interview, the actor, recently seen in Maamla Legal Hai Season 2, expressed his thoughts about Dhurandhar 2 being called a propaganda movie.

Ravi said that calling Dhurandhar 2 a 'propaganda' film is 'wrong'. The actor stated that everyone should openly support the movie, like the South actors. "A new trend has started of calling films propaganda – ek naya kabootar pakad liye hain log," he said.

Dhurandhar franchise to the 1975 film
Sholay. He added that a writer picks topics from real news and incidents, while the team cinematically presents them on the screen. Ravi believes that one should be happy that people have started going to theatres. Ravi added that the industry was going through a tough phase and the Bhojpuri industry had almost shut down. "This has come as a blessing for the industry, and lakhs of people earn their livelihood through cinema," he stated. Moreover, Ravi opined that it's important cinema presents on screen what is happening in society. He feels that we need to correct our history by way of research. "Those pages that were torn away from our history! That truth needs to be brought in front of people."
