At the time, the filmmakers KVN Productions, had also informed about taking a legal action in matter. And it seems, the Cyber Crime police seems to have got a major achievement in capturing the accused.

According to a press release issued on Thursday (April 16), the State Cyber Crime Wing of the Tamil Nadu Police said it had made a breakthrough in the case involving the online leak of
Jana Nayagan. As per the police, three more individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.Earlier, six people had already been taken into custody. With the latest action, the total number of arrests in the case has gone up.According to an official statement, the three newly arrested accused were identified as key players in the distribution and uploading of the pirated version of the film. Their arrest followed a detailed technical probe and analysis of digital evidence. They have been charged with stealing data and circulating the pirated copy online.
Freelance Editor accused of stealing Jana Nayagan footage
Police revealed that the main accused was working as a freelance assistant editor on another project. He allegedly accessed the footage of Jana Nayagan at an editing studio without permission and stole it.Then, the material was turned into a full movie and shared with other people, which led to it being widely shared on the internet.All three accused have been brought to court and put in jail until their trial.
Authorities' warning to public
The authorities have also strongly warned the public not to download, stream, or share pirated content.. They said that even forwarding such material could lead to strict legal action. The public has been urged to report any suspicious links or pirated content immediately.For those unaware,
Jana Nayagan - the final film of Vijay, was recently leaked online, prompting swift action from its makers.In a strongly worded statement, the production house warned that all digital activity can be tracked and cautioned people against interacting with or sharing the leaked footage. They also urged anyone who has received such clips to avoid engaging with them and to delete them immediately.
The producers made it clear that anyone found accessing, storing, or circulating the pirated content will face strict legal consequences. They advised the public not to open or forward such material under any circumstances. Recently, the Madras High Court granted an interim injunction restraining internet service providers and cable operators from streaming the film illegally.
