Full House Actor Dave Coulier Diagnosed With Tongue Cancer After Beating Lymphoma 7 Months Ago

seven months after he beat stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Full House star Dave Coulier has another heartbreaking health update. The actor went on TV to reveal that he was now diagnosed with tongue cancer. However, Coulier was upbeat about his prognosis and shared that he would be undergoing radiation and be done with his treatment by the end of the year.

Appearing on NBC's Today, Coulier told the hosts and fans that he was dealing with a new cancer diagnosis, seven months after beating stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He revealed, "Totally unrelated to the previous cancer that I had. So in October of this year, I went in for a PET scan, just a routine check-up and something flared on the PET scan. It turned out that I have P16 squamous carcinoma at the base of my tongue. So I said to the doctors, I said, ‘Well, did this happen because of the lymphoma?’ And they said, ‘Totally unrelated.’"

The actor, who returned for the reboot Fuller House, shared that his prognosis was much better than his earlier battle with lymphoma. He will undergo 35 rounds of radiation and finish his treatment on December 31. But the thing that has really saved my life is that early detection saved my life, not just the first time but the second time as well. So I hope you’re getting your check-ups. I hope you get your colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life." In November 2024, Coulier shared that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. He soon began chemotherapy after learning the cancer was Stage 3. In March 2025, Coulier announced that he was cancer free.
