has been waiting to make his comeback on the big screen for a while now. His last film, Rangeela Raja, flopped miserably at the box office in 2019. Since then, the actor has been away from the limelight. A few weeks ago, a report about Govinda’s divorce from wife Sunita Ahuja left everyone in shock. However, there is no official confirmation about it. Amidst all, the latest report about the 90s superstar will definitely leave his fans heartbroken. The Hero No 1 actor has reportedly been replaced by Manoj Bajpayee in Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal’s next film, Bhagam Bhag 2, which is a sequel to the 2006 hit film Bhagam Bhag, starring Govinda in a pivotal role.
Manoj Bajpayee Replaces Govinda In Bhagam Bhag 2?
According to a
Variety India report, the makers of
Bhagam Bhag 2 have roped in Manoj Bajpayee to play a key role in the film. It has to be noted that the
Special 26 actor will replace Govinda in Akshay Kumar’s upcoming comic caper. Paresh Rawal is also a part of the sequel. The report further states that the sequel of
Bhagam Bhag is said to have a fresh storyline centred on mistaken identities, comedy of errors and too much chaos. The makers are trying to stay true to the spirit of the original, which was directed by Priyadarshan.
Bhagam Bhag 2 is being helmed by Raaj Shaadilyaa, and it also has Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. The diva will be making her comeback to Hindi cinema with the sequel. She is paired opposite Akshay Kumar. She was last seen in
Upstarts (2019). The makers are yet to finalise the leading lady opposite Manoj Bajpayee. The official confirmation about the big change in
Bhagam Bhag 2 casting is yet to be made by the makers. The shooting for the film will start next month in Mumbai.
