The mystery around Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar Part Two has kept fans on their toes. Whether it is Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal, or a new character, the question will be solved on March 19. The audience
is revising the events of Dhurandhar with its Netflix premiere before watching the second part in theatres. Amid this, pictures from the set of Dhurandhar 2 have gone viral on social media. Aditya Dhar shot it as one film, but taking a creative call internally, the makers opted to split the movie into two. Major portions were filmed earlier, and now, some additional scenes will be added.
Dhurandhar 2 BTS go viral
Mumbai’s Ballard Estate became Lyari for
Dhurandhar 2. Viral pictures show Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal shooting for an important scene. While the context of the sequence is not known, fans are analysing the pictures with the intention of decoding Bade Sahab’s identity. In
Dhurandhar, Sanjay and Arjun never met each other as their characters had different timelines and connections. The scenes shot are patchwork.
Dhurandhar Part 2 story
Dhurandhar Part Two will pick up from Rehman Dakait’s death.
Major Iqbal takes the centre stage this time, and Hamza will be facing a new challenge and threat from Bade Sahab, an identity undisclosed in the first part. Prior to this, he has had the backing of his father-in-law and SP Chaudhary, the notorious encounter cop. After seeing the viral BTS pictures, it seems SP Chaudhary and Major Iqbal will have some serious business discussions.
Dhurandhar also stars
Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, among others. The CBFC cleared
Dhurandhar with a runtime of 3 hours and 34 minutes. A 4-minute-long post-credit scene laid the foundation for the second part, which is releasing on March 19.
Dhurandhar on Netflix
The Netflix version of
Dhurandhar has been receiving criticism for poor colour grading and picture quality. Some netizens reported that Aditya considered the audience’s feedback and fine-tuned the film for the OTT print. When people pointed that
Dhurandhar has been
censored for Netflix, a source clarified, “It is the same as the theatrical / CBFC-approved version. As with all theatrical films, the three-minute runtime difference is due to elements such as interval plates or in-theatre ad requirements that do not carry over to digital platforms. This is business as usual and standard practice when films transition from cinemas to streaming.”The final runtime of
Dhurandhar 2 is yet to be disclosed. The teaser will be out in the coming days.
