After months of speculation, the release date for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh has been officially confirmed. The film will now arrive in cinemas on March 26, 2026, taking over the slot previously
set for the release of Ram Charan’s Peddi, which has been postponed due to unfinished work. Directed by Harish Shankar, the action drama film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is now in post-production. Expectations around the film are high since Pawan Kaylan's last film OG (They Call Him OG) was a blockbuster.
Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh Film Locks Release Date
Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh stars Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, playing a cop entangled in a story with a social backdrop. The film also features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the female leads. Produced under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film has completed shooting, and post-production work is underway. The first single, showcasing Pawan Kalyan’s signature dance moves, has already become a hit among fans.
Harish Kalyan has previously adapted several films in his career, including
Dabangg, Jigarthanda, and Raid. Audiences are now curious to see if his vision for the
Theri adaptation will surpass what he delivered with Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan. The film is not a direct remake but an adaptation of Vijay’s Theri, with a fresh script that presents Pawan Kalyan in a completely stylish and refreshed avatar.
Peddi and Nani's The Paradise
Ram Charan’s Peddi, originally set for March 27, has been postponed due to pending work on portions of the film. The team decided against rushing the shoot to meet the earlier date. Another reason for Peddi’s postponement is the strong box office presence of
Dhurandhar 2, set to release on March 19. With Ranveer Singh in the lead, the spy thriller is expected to dominate theatres, and the team Peddi did not want to risk clashing during its crucial opening weekend.
Similarly, Nani’s The Paradise, slated for the same period, has also been delayed as the shoot is still incomplete. With these shifts, Ustaad Bhagat Singh now takes center stage.
