Preet Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Wamiqa Gabbi, along with singers Zahrah S Khan and Faheem Abdullah, visited the Gir National Park in Gujarat for the promotions of their upcoming romantic comedy, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. Multiple videos from the promotional activity went viral on social media. In one of the clips, Rakul could be seen walking around the premise, while Ayushmann, Wamiqa and the rest of the team were seated in their respective jeeps. Since the Gir National Park is a restricted and protected zone, the internet questioned the actress for taking rules for granted.

However, the Gir National Park authorities issued an official statement clarifying that Rakul did not violate any rules and wasn’t walking inside the National Park. The Deputy Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Division, Sasan-Gir, confirmed that the video was recorded outside the entry point. The incident did not take place inside the restricted zone, the statement clarified. As per the restricted zone’s rule, ‘once inside the sanctuary, no one is allowed to step out of their safari vehicle.’

The statement further read, “Rakul Preet Singh had come with her team for a planned sanctuary visit. However, before entering the sanctuary, she experienced a medical issue. Due to this, her team took her back, and she did not enter the sanctuary premises.” The officer concluded the statement, reassuring that no rules were violated. In the viral video, Rakul looked stressed. While the team was set for the safari ride, she was off the jeep. A few moments later, she was taken out of the premises by a group of people, including two police officers.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do features Rakul as one of the two women who are in love with Ayushmann’s Prajapati Pandey, a forest department officer. Defending the film, she said the crux of the story is, “Hum karte kuch aur hai, log samajte kuch aur hai, ho kuch aur jaata hai aur nazariya kuch aur ho jaata hai.” Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do also stars Sara Ali Khan.
