Soon after making her big screen debut, the actress decided to step back from acting and focus on her personal life. She got married to Himalaya Dassani. And later, they were blessed with two children - son Abhimanyu Dassani and daughter Avantika Dassani. Recently, Bhagyashree joined Zoom for an exclusive conversation on Letters To My Mom. In this conversation, the actress discussed motherhood in detail, and opened up about going through empty nest syndrome.

Bhagyashree on motherhood, postpartum depression

Speaking exclusively to us, Bhagyashree opened up about dealing with empty nest syndrome while her children were growing up. The actress shared a message for all mothers out there - 'don't forget that there is a person inside of you'."When my children were growing up, I became a mother completely, I forgot who Bhagyashree was as a person. That's important. Don't forget who you are. Hold on to those dreams. Maybe not today but maybe tomorrow you will get an opportunity to accomplish and move towards those dreams. Don't let what is you fade with time," she told Zoom.

The actress was further asked if she ever experienced postpartum depression. To this, Bhagyashree said, "No one knew what the word depression meant then. Probably, one did go through those things. You would have those nights crying. Today, we start to shred each emotion so much that we don't know how to deal with it. If you start searching for an explanation and logic with every little thing that you do, life becomes much more difficult. That's what I feel." She added that some things become easy when one focuses on solution rather than problem. Bhagyashree on dealing with difficult situations Continuing the conversation, the actress shared how how she stayed strong during difficult moments of her life. "It wasn’t easy, and nowadays, with all the depression, frustration, and anxiety going around, these words are used so common. Probably at that time, I was facing all of it together. You don't have people to talk to because no one can really walk in your shoes."According to her, the strength comes when one is pushed into a corner with no way out, but they have to push back. "So, it’s only when you’re pushed into that corner that you realise how strong you really are," she said, and signed off.On the work front, the actress was recently seen in Raja Shivaji.
