Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are gearing up for major releases in 2026. While SRK stayed away from the big screen in 2025, Bhaijaan had a disappointing year with Sikander, which failed to perform at

the box office. He is now set to appear in Apoorva Lakhia’s war drama, Battle of Galwan. Meanwhile, King Khan is working on his ambitious project King. The film marks his first collaboration with daughter Suhana Khan, who made her debut with The Archies. Once known for dominating the box office and setting ticket windows ablaze, the Khans now face the big question: will they reclaim their throne with these upcoming projects? Only time will tell, but for now, let's look at their 2026 slate!King Is Coming!After Suhana Khan’s debut series The Archies received mixed reactions, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly stepped in to ensure a grand big-screen launch for his daughter. For this ambitious project, he has joined hands with director Siddharth Anand.

The film also features Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan, with Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhay Verma playing supporting roles in the action drama. Reportedly, the actioner is inspired by the classic 1994 French thriller Léon: The Professional.Recent reports claim that the movie is expected to release in two parts. A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Both King and Love And War are big-budget spectacles and have gone beyond what was on paper when it comes to the cost of production. As Dhurandhar has set a trend, both SRK and Bhansali are individually contemplating splitting their epics into two parts and releasing them in a gap of less than 6 months."An official release date announcement is still awaited.Reportedly, King Khan has several unconfirmed projects in the pipeline, including Pushpa-fame Sukumar’s next. However, if confirmed, the film is expected to target a 2027 release.Battle Of Galwan Loading!Salman's Battle of Galwan is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious war dramas in the pipeline. Based on the real-life clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, the film promises a hard-hitting portrayal of courage, sacrifice and military grit. With a strong focus on intense action sequences and emotional depth, the project aims to honour the bravery of Indian soldiers while capturing the high-altitude tensions of the historic confrontation.

As anticipation builds, Battle of Galwan is being closely watched as a potential comeback for Salman, who has been going through a dull phase in his career. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Mission Istanbul: Darr Ke Aagey Jeet Hai! (2008), among others. Its teaser was recently unveiled by the makers, further fuelling excitement among fans. Also starring Chitrangda Singh, the film is slated for release on April 17, 2026.

Apart from this, Bhaijaan has several other films in his kitty. Earlier, during a chat with Zoom, he said, "I am doing a film called Bull. Then, there's Dabangg (4), Kick (2), Sooraj Barjatya's... I have 3 to 4 films." However, none of these films have officially gone on the floors yet.
