Dhar has come a long way in his career. The director, who started working as a writer in Hindi cinema, recently delivered 2025’s biggest hit, Dhurandhar. He gears up for the second part of the espionage thriller starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and others. Amid Dhurandhar’s success, Priyadarshan shared a rare picture with Aditya on Instagram. They worked together on Aakrosh and Tezz. Sharing the nostalgic image, the veteran showered love and good wishes on his ‘disciple’. Aditya reacted to Priyadarshan’s post on Instagram. The picture features the two stalwarts together in the middle on a shoot.

Aditya replied, “My Dearest Priyan Sir… this means more to me than I can ever put into words!! You believed in me when I was a nobody, and when all I had was conviction and a few written pages. You treated me like an equal, and gave me something far more precious than just work - dignity, trust, and love.”He added, “In an industry where I often learnt what not to do, you taught me exactly what to do, not just as a filmmaker, but as a human being. From writing dialogues for Aakrosh and Tezz to standing here today, every step carries your imprint. I will forever be your student first. Thank you for everything, Sir. This success is as much yours as it is mine.”

At the domestic box office, Dhurandhar has minted over Rs 800 crore and it is still running with fewer shows in theatres across the country. Its worldwide collection has crossed the Rs 1200 crore mark. Dhurandhar Part 2 releases on March 19.
