Vartika Singh on her Bollywood debut and character Saira
In an interview with Zoom, the first-time actress felt grateful to start her acting journey as Saira. She shared, "I would say it's such an iconic film to be a part of. I remember my day one with him, and I was really invested in Saira. I was like, I have to deliver and thank [Suparn] for giving me Saira because I genuinely feel this is very unconventional. This is not something a lot of people get to start with. To be honest, I really feel I am lucky because it's not necessary in your first film that you get to act. Yes, you get to be on screen and do a lot of fun stuff, but this definitely was a very challenging role to begin with, and to start with something like that is something that I consider a very good thing that has happened to me. It's a really good and big break that I could actually get."

In the film, she travelled her character's path with her. She said about Saira, "If you talk about the second woman, from the day I started approaching this character, I never thought about that I'm going to be this woman who will enter someone's life, break the house, and make other people fight or create conflicts. My life was never about that. Like Suparn said, back in those days, it was a completely normal situation, and the whole idea came from that. Somebody who has grown up seeing those situations, I think it's totally fair for her to feel that this is normal and this is how people live. So when I have entered the house, I am seeking love, acceptance, and a lot of compassion around me. That's how I approached the character." Written by Reshu Nath, Haq will be released in theatres on November 7, 2025. Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Husain, and Aseem Hattangady are also part of the cast.
