Border
2 hit a roadblock on its release day after multiple early morning shows were reportedly cancelled. According to media reports, a theatre management in Mumbai cited late content delivery as the reason behind the shows getting cancelled. And now, Zoom has exclusively learnt that Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan's war drama faced an issue earlier this morning. However, a trade source told us that the matter is largely resolved now. For those unaware, Border 2 also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. It is the sequel to the 1997 film Border, by JP Dutta.
Border 2 morning shows cancelled?
A trade expert confirmed to Zoom that Border 2's early morning shows were impacted. However, things are back on track now and by afternoon, things will be sorted."Well, yes, there was a bit of an issue, but it's largely sorted. Most cinemas all over the country have started receiving the deliveries of the content. And I think, by noon, all the shows would be functioning in every single cinema in the country, and the matter is reasonably solved," the trade source revealed.
For the unversed, Border 2 is based on the real-life incidents of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. Apart from the male star cast, the war drama's female cast includes Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana and Sonam Bajwa.
