Bollywood legend Dharmendra's final film appearance will be in Agastya Nanda headlined Ikkis posthumously. In the Sriram Raghavan directorial, Dharmendra portrays Brigadier ML Khetarpal, the father of
1971 war hero Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. In a recent interview, Sriram recalled working with the veteran actor in the film, lauding him for his passion for cinema."He loved the camera too much and the camera loved him too," Sriram told NDTV, noting that he was a 'little older but as flamboyant as before'. The director stressed that the shooting schedules for Ikkis were hard and despite being being tired, Dharmendra gave the film his all.ALSO READ - Dharmendra Death: Family To Hold Prayer Meet Later This Week, Details Inside"It was a little strenuous, so he used to get tired and sometimes our schedules are sort of killing. I would tell him, 'Sir, there's one more shot in the scene' and he would say, 'Haan batao'. I knew he was tired, but he would say, 'Ok, ok, let's do it'. And, when the cameras would roll, he would be magic. He was unbelievable," he said.Sriram, who had previously worked with Dharmendra in Johnny Gaddaar, revealed that the late actor saw the film in dub. The filmmaker called passing of the Sholay actor 'a very personal loss'. He shared, "I'm very happy he did the film and he's done a wonderful job. He had seen the film in the dub but I would have liked him to see the film with all the background music, effects and everything."Dharmendra passed away on November 24, leaving behind an unmatched legacy. The who's who of Bollywood turned up to pay their last respects to the legend.
