BTS
kicked off its Mexico leg of the ongoing ARIRANG World Tour with a bang. They started off by greeting a tsunami of over 50,000 fans from the balcony of the National Palace after meeting President Claudia Sheinbaum. The square of Zocalo turned into a sea of humanity, an unbelievable visual spectacle that asserted the band's global domination. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook then moved for the sound check at the venue, until taking on the stage for the first show where their Spanish left ARMYs in awe. BTS is performing three sold-out shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol) in Mexico City. It started on May 7, and will return on stage on May 9; and May 10, 2026.
V turns gold!
From the videos and photos that surfaced, things looked bright for BTS. While on one hand, V's surprise golden streaks turned heads right from the sound check, the members addressing fans in a language they aren't well-versed in received screams. RM, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook took the mic.

Jungkook and Jimin showing off their abs, became some of the best remembered moments of Day 1 of the concerts.Fans couldn't get enough of the BTS shenanigans. A fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "They’re just too amazing to handle, absolutely on fire." Another one said, "I literally can't calm down either. BTS really said 'go big or go home' with this tour. Mexico City isn't ready for this energy!"
Spanish overload
Jimin read out a special message in Spanish for the fans. He said, "You listen to our songs a lot, right? Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I didn’t know you would be this incredible here. You really do know how to enjoy yourselves! You’re the best. See you the day after tomorrow, Army. I love you more than anyone."Jungkook said, "Thanks to you all, I was really very happy today. I hope you all get home safely today. I love you mexico army!!"
J-Hope's Spanish love letter to ARMYs
J-Hope also spoke in Spanish. He said, "Hola México! Se siente increíble volver a estar en este escenario. Me siento muy feliz de poder estar con ustedes 2 dias más. Aunque todavía no es suficiente para nosotros, ¿verdad? Muchas gracias, ¡Méxicoooooo! Los amo!" (Translation: Hello Mexico! It feels incredible to be back on this stage. I feel very happy to be able to be with you for 2 more days. Although it's still not enough for us, right? Thank you so much, Mexico. I love you all!"BTS is expected to generate more than $100 million for Mexico City over three nights of ARIRANG concerts. Infact more than 135,000 tickets for the stadium showcase got completely sold out within minutes, proving the clout of the OT7 in every country they are travelling.
