Din Box Office Collection: Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi's romantic drama opened to mixed reviews upon its theatrical release. Directed by Sunil Pandey, Ek Din is the remake of the 2016 Thai movie One Day, featuring Chantavit Dhanasevi and Nittha Jirayungyurn. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the movie was released in theatres on May 1. It clashed with Riteish Deshmukh's Raja Shivaji and Meryl Streep-Anne Hathaway's The Devil Wears Prada 2 at the box office. Ek Din got tough competition from both films, and managed to earn only Rs 1 crore.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Ek Din collected Rs 1 crore on day one of its theatrical release. It got a lukewarm opening at the BO. The film's earnings are less compared to the historical drama Raja Shivaji, which minted Rs 11.35 crore. On the other hand, The Devil Wears Prada 2, featuring Meryl and Anne, earned Rs 5.5 crore at the ticket window.
That said, it remains to be seen how
Junaid and Sai's movie performs ahead at the box office. For the unversed, the film marked Sai's debut in Bollywood. As for Junaid, this was his second theatrical release after Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor. He made his acting debut with Siddharth P Malhotra's Maharaj, which premiered on Netflix.The advance bookings for Ek Din had opened 39 days before its actual release. In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Aamir spoke about the strategy behind film's advance bookings. Khan said that the movie has relatively new actors so he thought this movie would need a little more time to get traction. "So the earlier we start, the better," he said.

Ram Sampath has worked on the music of Ek Din, while Ballu Saluja is the movie's editor. It has been written by Spandan Desai and Sneha Desai. While the romantic drama is currently playing in cinemas, it will eventually land on streaming platform. The makers haven't officially announced the OTT release date yet.

On the work front, Junaid is yet to announce his new project. As for Sai, she will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1 as Goddess Sita.
