who is playing a key role in the Telugu remake of Lubber Pandhu has sustained a serious leg injury during the shoot of his film. The incident took place a few days ago, when Rajasekhar was shooting an action sequence in Medchal, where a stunt scene resulted in multiple fractures in his ankle. According to reports, the actor suffered a bimalleolar dislocation with a compound fracture, a severe injury typically associated with high-impact trauma on his right ankle.
Rajasekhar Undergoes 3 Hour Surgery After Suffering Injury On Set
Rajasekhar then underwent a major surgery lasting nearly three hours. The procedure involved ‘right ankle open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with K-wires for the lateral malleolus, open reduction and internal fixation using cannulated cancellous screws and a semi-tubular plate for the medial malleolus and trans-fixation of the tibia using a wire passed through the calcaneum and talus,’ as per his team. Doctors have advised a rest of 3-4 weeks for the actor. Consequently, Rajasekhar will stay away from film shoots for a certain period. The veteran actor is expected to resume work in January 2026 which will be confirmed based on his recovery progress.Rajashekar was last seen in Nithiin, Vakkantham Vamsi’s 2023 film, Extra Ordinary Man, which also starred Sreeleela. He is now awaiting the release of Abhilash Reddy Kankara’s Biker with Sharwanand, which was first scheduled for release on December 11. He also has two yet-to-be-announced films lined up. The actor's wife, Jeevitha, and children Shivani and Shivathmika haven't commented on his health status yet.
