In a new interview with
Billboard,
ENHYPEN members Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki reflected on the recent changes within the group and how they have been leaning on one another during the transition. Despite the emotional shift, the members made it clear that their focus remains firmly on their music, performances, and fans (ENGENEs).
“These days, we’ve been busy preparing for our tour,” Jungwon shared, explaining that the group has been spending most of their time rehearsing together. He also added that they often eat together and are fully focused on putting on “the best stage possible.” Jake also acknowledged the expectations surrounding ENHYPEN’s next chapter, especially after Heeseung’s departure earlier this year. “We just all know that there’s a lot of people out there that are expecting a lot from us,” he said, adding that the members are concentrating on delivering strong performances for ENGENEs.
ENHYPEN teases 'crazy' project
Though the members remained secretive about what’s coming next, Jake hinted that ENGENEs should expect something much bigger. “As of right now, we can’t say too much,” he teased. “But our next project is crazy, it’s another level.”He also admitted that things naturally feel different without Heeseung in the group, but he shared that these changes have also helped the group evolve creatively. “There’s been changes, but there’s also been very good changes as well,” Jake said, adding that ENHYPEN’s upcoming music is going to be “very good.”Sunghoon further assured ENGENEs that the group is continuing to work hard while creating new memories together as they enter this new chapter. "Our ENGENEs, that’s what we try to focus on, putting on the best performance for our fans," Jake said.
About Heeseung's exit
Heeseung officially exited ENHYPEN in March 2026 after discussions with BELIFT LAB regarding his future artistic direction. The idol later addressed fans directly through a heartfelt letter on Weverse, revealing that the decision came after long discussions with the company and careful personal reflection. He explained that he hoped to return to fans “in a better way” and emphasized that he never wanted his own ambitions to come before the team. About a month after the announcement, Heeseung introduced his solo identity, EVAN, signaling the start of his independent musical journey.
