ready for more baby adventures with Gaurav Gehlot, played by Kunal Kemmu. Single Papa, created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, is coming back for Season 2. Netflix revealed that the Gehlot family would be back for more drama and chaos as it renewed the show in the new year. The modern family comedy explores a divorced man starting a journey to adopt an abandoned baby despite much opposition within his own family. Produced by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan under the Juggernaut Productions banner, Single Papa was released on Netflix on December 12.

On social media, the renewal announcement was shared in a cute way by baby Amul wearing a onesie that said, Single Papa Season 2. The caption by Netflix India stated, "Badhai ho, season 2 hone wala hai. Watch Single Papa: Season 2, coming soon, only on Netflix." Less than a month after its release, Single Papa has already been renewed. The comedy show made it to the Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows list for two consecutive weeks.
Besides Kunal Kemmu, the rest of the ensemble cast, including Prajakta Koli, Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed, Ankur Rathee, and Isha Talwar, are set to return. The show's
positive and responsible depiction of adoption was also highlighted by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) of India. Shashank Khaitan, the executive producer of the series, shared in a statement, “Single Papa was always conceived as a long-form, family-first story that could grow with its characters. Seeing audiences connect so deeply with baby Amul, Gaurav and the Gehlots only reinforces our belief that their story was never meant to end with a single chapter. Our partnership with Netflix has been integral to building this world with honesty and heart. The Gehlots’ journey is far from over, and Season 2 allows us to explore their relationships, challenges and joys with even greater depth and warmth.” The
