an emotional moment as his son Namashi spoke about his proud feeling and journey over the years. He went down the memory lane and explained his father's living condition during the early days and how he is 'Hindustan ka sabse bada sitaara' today.

Mithun Da gets emotional on sets of Indian Idol 16

On January 17, Saturday, India's singing reality show Indian Idol celebrated Mithun Chakraborty's 50 years in the industry as he received heartfelt tribute from the contestants. One such moment was with his son Ushmey whose touching speech made Mithun Da emotional as he hugged him later. Namashi's words flashed back to the actor's growing years. He revealed that his father used to do four shifts in a day. He recalled the promotional days of his debut film Bad Boy (2023) when he was taken to his first house in Kolkata.

His revelation that, "I could not stand the sketch of those streets beyond 30 seconds because I am a very big superstar's son. But when I entered that house I asked people 'What memories do you have of him?' They took me to his window and said, "In the night it is so claustrophobic in that area that you can't see a single star up in the sky aur uss ghar se ubharke aaya Hindustan ka sabse bada sitaara".
