Rajpal
Yadav’s cheque bounce case hearing was recently held in Delhi High Court. The judge has reportedly reserved its judgement in an infamous cheque bounce case filed by M/s Murli Projects Private Limited against the actor. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma has even warned Rajpal Yadav about shifting stands on repayment. She expressed her displeasure over his behaviour. The judge highlighted frustration over inconsistencies between Rajpal Yadav’s submissions and his legal team’s arguments. Moreover, the Delhi HC judge also noticed a contradiction in Rajpal’s claims and his counsel’s arguments.
Delhi HC’s Warning To Rajpal Yadav
According to an NDTV report, the
Delhi High Court judge told Yadav, “Never think the judge is weak if the judge is nice to you.” Moreover, the justice also mentioned that the counsel of the actor is arguing that the actor should not be required to settle the dues since he has already undergone imprisonment. But, on the other hand, Rajpal Yadav is willing to pay the dues. The judge responded to the issue by stating that if Rajpal was indeed ready to pay, there was no reason for the matter to continue, directing him to make the payment instead. During the hearing, the actor sought 30 days to arrange Rs 6 crore to resolve the dispute, but the court refused to grant time.
The judge said, “No means no. I will reserve (for judgement). I will not give more time.” It has to be noted that Rajpal Yadav is currently out on bail, and the next hearing in this matter will be held tomorrow (April 3).
