shooting of Arasan, the much-awaited project starring Silambarasan and directed by Vetri Maaran, which kick started a few weeks ago, has been going on at a swift pace. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film which is part of the Vada Chennai universe, boasts of a stellar cast with Vijay Sethupathi and Andrea part of the film, and Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. Latest reports have suggested that the have wrapped the film's first schedule. This has added much anticipation around the project, which begun on a rough note after Silambarasan TR required permission to shoot owing to his clash with Vels Film International who signed him on a existing project.
Silambarasan TR Wraps First Schedule Of Vetrimaaran's Film Arasan
As per reports, the film's first schedule has been completed in Kovilpatti. A few days ago the makers shared first-look scenes of this shoot, which began after a long wait, were revealed. The makers have shared pictures from the shoot to confirm the commencement of the film. Vetri Maaran and Silambarasan were seen in an intense discussion, and the duo promises to deliver a gripping film for audiences.
A gangster drama, the film is not a sequel, Arasan is said to chronicle events that are occurring in the same timeline as Vada Chennai, the visuals from the first teaser drop a hint that Silambarasan TR character arc running parallel to the events in the original film. It's also a period film that jumps between different time-lines.
In an earlier video, Vetrimaaran opened up on teaming up with Silambarasan TR for the first time. "Dhanush sir had suggested I meet Simbu to discuss a new project, and within a few hours everything fell into place. So, after meeting Simbu, I called up Dhanush sir — since he is the producer and owner of the rights to any property that comes from the world of Vada Chennai — and told him that I could do this project in two ways. One, as something that's part of the Vada Chennai world. Two, as a standalone project. And he said I could do whatever I feel comfortable with, creatively speaking, and that he'll inform his team about it, that he has no issues with it, that he will give his NOC," said the director said
