As per latest development, Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing a crucial role in Ranveer Singh’s upcoming spy drama. According to a tabloid report, Vicky will be reprising his URI: The Surgical Strike character, Major Vihaan Shergill in Dhurandhar Part 2. The actor had already shot his scenes before the release of Dhurandhar Part 1. Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has remained tight-lipped about the unexpected cameo in Dhurandhar 2 – The Revenge.

According to a Mid-Day report, Vicky Kaushal’s appearance as Major Vihaan Shergill in Dhurandhar 2 will be an extended cameo. On the other hand, Akshaye Khanna’s character will be limited to just a few flashback scenes. A source informed the portal, “Aditya has been tight-lipped about the star power he is adding to Dhurandhar 2. The director, who plans to build the Dhurandhar universe, has smartly woven in a track from Uri despite the difference in the two stories’ timelines. Vicky’s character from the war drama, which is set in 2016, is introduced in this film, although it remains unclear whether he and Ranveer’s character cross paths. The cameo includes a few action blocks.”

“Vicky is one of Aditya’s favourite actors. The director was only too happy to design sequences that laid the foundation for a spin-off in the future,” the source concluded. For the unversed, Vicky Kaushal was supposed to feature in Aditya Dhar’s The Immortal Ashwatthama after Uri. However, the film got shelved due to its high budget.
