Stranger Things prepares for the final battle between Hawkins and Vecna, Netflix has revealed that its Season 5, Volume 2 brought the streamer its highest Christmas Day viewership of all time. It stands at 34.5 million views during the week of December 22-28. It includes viewership of Volume 1 which released on November 26, and Volume 2, which premiered on December 25, combined. The total however, also includes Netflix's two NFL games and other holiday viewing, and hence an exact viewership for Christmas Day has not been provided. However, it was Stranger Things Season 5 that remained the most-watched title of the day worldwide.
Stranger Things stays strong on Netflix
Stranger Things Season 5 remained the most-watched English-language TV show of the week. Like in its previous weeks when Season 5 debuted, all previous seasons stayed in the week's top 10 TV list. While Season 1 grabbed No. 5 spot (4.8 million views), Season 2 took No. 9 spot (3.6 million views). Season 3 at No. 8 (3.6 million views) and Season 4 at No. 6 (4.1 million views) also stayed put. The show also brought Netflix, the season's second-best weekly total after the debut of
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1. The final season released its first 4 episodes on November 26 on Thanksgiving Eve, bringing a whopping 59.6 million views in its first five days on Netflix.
Stranger Things 5 finale
Stranger Things is in its last leg. Ahead of the premiere of its final episode, things are heating up with soaring expectations. Even though Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 did not deliver as well as its Volume 1, its episodes have set the stage for the big showdown. Titled The Rightside Up, its episode 8 will release simultaneously on Netflix on December 31, 2025 (January 1, 2026 in India) and in select theatres in US and Canada.
