When Satish Shah Recalled DDLJ Days In Last Interview, Said Yash Chopra Called Him ‘Seer’ After His Prediction Came True

Veteran actor Satish Shah once shared a heartwarming memory from the sets of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). Looking back fondly, Shah spoke about working with the late filmmaker Yash Chopra and the special connection they shared during the making of the film. He was a very sweet person,” Shah said warmly.The actor also described the atmosphere on the set as “very friendly.” Being one of the senior members of the cast, he said the younger actors, including Kajol, felt “like kids” to him. “I have seen Kajol as a bacha. It was a lot of fun,” he added.Talking about his journey, Shah proudly mentioned that he never had to chase roles. “I have never gone to ask for a role from anyone,” he said. His casting in DDLJ happened just as effortlessly. “Someone from Yash Raj Films called and asked if I could do the role. Everything fell in place like a jigsaw puzzle. I didn’t even have to go to the office,” he said with a laugh, adding, “Actually, I’m lazy that way," said Shah. Unfortunately, Satish Shah passed away on Saturday at the age of 74.
