While he maintained that such remarks did not personally affect him, he admitted that the situation made him uneasy when considering how it could impact other members. He said, "ENHYPEN is ENHYPEN. I always try my best to ignore that, so I’m okay. But don’t do that to other members, especially at their birthday." He explained that although he tries to ignore such messages, he worries that similar behaviour during another member’s birthday could make them feel hurt.

Jay said that while he personally felt fine, he did not want others in the group to experience discomfort or sadness. Explaining his emotions, he added, " Today was such a happy birthday for me, but I’m really nervous - what if other members would feel depressed in these situations? I’m really scared for that, so I don’t want that happening in the future." The idol admitted he felt genuinely concerned that repeated comments could make others feel low.
