the legendary actor, and among them was Sunita Ahuja.Sunita attended the intimate gathering and shared that the atmosphere was filled with devotion and emotion. She revealed that Hema Malini had arranged a Bhagavad Gita paath along with a bhajan session for everyone who came to offer their prayers.

Sunita was quoted as saying by The Indian Express, "Hema ji had kept a path of Bhagavad Gita and bhajans. So, we all listened to the bhajans. I couldn’t stop crying in front of Hema ji." She added that seeing Hema Malini trying to stay strong despite her tremendous loss was heartbreaking in itself.

I had shared the stage with him… it was so special for me."Opening up further, she spoke lovingly about the connection her family shares with the Deols. She mentioned being very close to Esha Deol and recalled visiting them during Ganesh Chaturthi just two months ago. She recalled, "I met him two months earlier during Ganpati. I went with my son Yashvardhan. Esha had invited me for Ganpati. When Yash was born, I always wished that he had the qualities and looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra."Sunita also shared how deeply Dharmendra inspired her personal life. In fact, she stated that she married Govinda because she felt he resembled the actor.She expressed how her husband Govinda visited the Deol family earlier to offer condolences. She was not in Mumbai at the time but made sure to attend Hema Malini’s prayer meet once she returned.Dharmendra passed away on November 24 after age related complications. He had been under treatment and was eventually shifted home so he could be surrounded by family.
