Rishab Shetty on reason behind making Kantara Chapter 1
Earlier, in an interview, Rishab shared, “Kantara wasn’t made for money. Had I taken up other offers, I could have avoided risks and spent more time with my school-going kids. But I made Kantara: Chapter 1 because of divine intervention.” He added, “When Kannadigas embraced Kannada and audiences across languages and cultures connected with it so deeply, I knew I had to complete the story. The prequel was necessary to give it justice.”Reflecting on his artistic growth, he said, “I didn’t want to take up any new project until Kantara: Chapter 1 was done. I’m grateful the right roles came my way, but I don’t want to be confined to one style. I’d love to do a Sarkari-type film too.”
