Yash
has been quietly working on some of the biggest films. He will be returning to the big screen after four years with Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups and Ramayana: Part 1. The former film releases in June. After multiple delays due to various reasons, the action-thriller is finally ready for the audience to watch. In a recent interaction, Yash revealed that Toxic is not a regular gangster action story. While promoting Ramayana with Namit Malhotra at CinemaCon 2026, the actor said Toxic is an ambitious film that will make a huge impact on the audience.

Talking to Fandango correspondent Nikki Novak, Yash said the concept of
Toxic is ‘very layered.’ He added, “Once again, it's not a typical
gangster action story. For the face value, it will look like a gangster movie with a lot of action, but it has got deep psychology and it's got very interesting aspects of human life where you can resonate with.” The actor believed his character has been presented in a unique way, that makes it even more exciting. Yash shared that director Geetu Mohandas has given a new take on a gangster film, and he enjoyed working on it. Toxic is going to be a visual treat as well as something which makes a huge impact on audience psychology as well, confirmed Yash.
Why does playing dark characters excite Yash?
In the same interview,
Yash said playing dark characters excites him. “There is no boundary when you play a dark character,” he said before adding, “This movie had many shades of those characters and lots of looks, performers and great actors have come together to put it together.” Yash further shared that the film explores various cultures, languages and celebrates India’s cultural diversity. He concluded by saying Toxic lives upto the term pan-India cinema as audience in every corner of the nation will get to experience something local, unique and visually rich world.
About Toxic
Toxic was scheduled to release in theatres on March 19. However, due to the Middle East war, the makers decided to postpone it to June 4. The movie has been filmed simultaneously in English and Kannada, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages. Nayanthara,
