Varun
Dawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is going to have a smooth theatrical release. After Yash’s Toxic was postponed from June 4, the makers of the David Dhawan-directed film moved back its release date from June 12 to June 5 to enjoy the solo release. However, Ram Charan’s Peddi makers declared that the sports drama will release on June 4, formerly taken by Toxic. Now, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai producer Ramesh Taurani is not in the mood to shift the film’s release date once again. He is ready to clash with Peddi at the box office.
Ramesh Taurani reacts to HJTIHH vs Peddi clash
In an interview with
Hindustan Times,
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai producer Ramesh Taurani was asked about the clash that is going to happen between his film and Ram Charan’s
Peddi. The veteran producer said that he can’t do anything about it now. According to him, somebody or the other would come and clash. He is okay with it since there are only 52 weeks in a year.
When asked if he is planning to change the release date of
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai once again, the producer said, “Not at all.” It seems Ramesh Taurani is set to clash the Varun Dhawan film with Ram Charan’s Peddi.
About Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai
Coming back to
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the film features Varun Dhawan in the lead role along with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde as the female leads. It also stars Rakesh Bedi, Mouni Roy, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Shergill and Maniesh Paul in key roles. The romantic-comedy film has been directed by David Dhawan. The movie was initially expected to hit the screens on May 22, but the makers shifted its release date to June 5. However, when Yash’s
Toxic was announced to be released on June 4, the makers of
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai again postponed the film to the next week. A few weeks later,
Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown Ups' makers postponed the film’s release date due to pending post-production work. Hence, the Varun Dhawan film came back to June 5. But now, it looks like the Hindi film will struggle to mint big numbers due to the pan-India film
Peddi's release on June 4.
Peddi also features Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar and others in key roles. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana,
Peddi will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
