makers of Ramayana: Part 1 left everyone surprised with its teaser reveal. On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti 2026, Ranbir Kapoor's look as Lord Rama was revealed on social media. A grand event was held in Mumbai on April 2. After the glimpse was out, netizens lauded it, praising Ranbir's divine avatar as Lord Rama and the film's scale and VFX. Now, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Nitish Bharadwaj shared his thoughts about the Ramayana: Part 1 teaser. The actor is best known for playing Lord Krishna in BR Chopra's Mahabharat and Lord Rama in BR Chopra's 2001 show Ramayan.

Ramayan, the actress said, "I watched the teaser and it's very grand. Bahut rich lag raha hai. Unhone bahut achhe se banaya hai. So now I'm awaiting the film and it's looking very beautiful, there's no doubt about it."
Nitesh Tiwari gets emotional at Ramayana: Part 1 teaser launch
At the film's teaser launch event in Mumbai, director Nitesh Tiwari got emotional. The filmmaker revealed that it took seven years to reach this moment. "Filmmaking is a very speculative and lonely process. Every moment in these seven years, I have imagined this moment and wondered what the reaction (of the audience) would be," he mentioned.
The director added that seven years were worth it after looking at the reactions to his film's teaser. He stated that a lot of people worked every hard to help the movie reach at this level. On a parting note, Tiwari hoped that they receive equal amount of love from the audience.
Who plays what in Ramayana?
Meanwhile, Ranbir has come on board to play Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Goddess Sita. Ravi Dubey, on the other hand, essays the character of Lord Lakshman. Sunny Deol is Lord Hanuman in
Ramayana: Part 1 and Yash plays Ravana. Apart from that, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, and others are an integral part of the movie.While the film's first part releases on Diwali 2026, the second installment arrives on Diwali 2027.
