Vijay,
popularly known as Thalapathy in Kollywood, had a long and arduous journey before officially taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10. His political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) won 108 seats in its debut assembly election. He was sworn-in as the Chief Minister at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai in the presence of political leaders, bureaucrats and film personalities besides the actor-turned-politician's parents, Shoba Chandrasekhar and S. A. Chandrasekhar. Trisha, rumoured to be the closest to Vijay after his family, made heads turn by marking her attendance.

Leo, arrived at the venue early and celebrated the important day with the new Tamil Nadu CM’s family members. Dressed elegantly in a blue saree, the actress stood by Thalapathy on his big day. After attending the oath ceremony, Trisha shared pictures in the gorgeous saree. Her caption stole the limelight.
Hinting at something more personal than just cheering for her co-star, Trisha’s caption read, “The love is always louder.” At the oath ceremony, the actress was seen visibly emotional as Vijay became the
Chief Minister. While exiting the venue, Trisha briefly interacted with Times Now. She said, "Congratulations. I am super happy."

Trisha seems to be Vijay’s
lady luck. On her birthday, that is May 4, it was declared that the actor’s political party TVK took the lead in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam secured maximum seats, leaving Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) behind in its first election. On Trisha’s birthday, Lakshmi Manchu and Radikaa Sarathkumar wished her on social media. But the internet did not miss the message they had for her. The former hinted at Vijay’s win being her 'best birthday gift'. She added fuel to dating rumours by writing, "Double celebrations for you today! Have a magical one, darling.” Radikaa’s comment on Trisha’s Instagram story read, "Happy birthday, whatte a gift." She deleted it minutes later.
Vijay, Trisha relationships
Vijay, married to Sangeetha Sornalingam, is in the middle of divorce proceedings with her. They have two children, son Jason Sanjay and daughter Divya Saasha. Trisha chose not to marry after her engagement with Varun Manian was called off. Amid this, Trisha gears up for the release of
Karuppu with Suriya on May 14. The film is directed by RJ Balaji.
