A representative for Mendes confirmed to PEOPLE that Mancuso popped the question to the actress on Friday. According to a source, the proposal was a complete surprise for Camila. “She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was actually a surprise engagement party,” the insider revealed. “Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends," added the source. The celebrations didn’t stop there. After the emotional proposal, the newly engaged couple joined actor Glen Powell’s tracksuit-and-tequila-themed birthday bash at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Mendes proudly showed off her sparkling diamond ring on a sleek silver band as she and Rudy walked in hand in hand, beaming with joy.
