Joseph’s Drishyam 3 is releasing in theatres on Mohanlal’s birthday. As the countdown has begun, fans of the Malayalam franchise have already booked their tickets for the First Day First Show. The second part of the Drishyam series premiered directly on Prime Video amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But, with Drishyam 3, the makers are back on the big screen. Ahead of its release, its OTT deal has been secured. Drishyam 3, scheduled to arrive on May 21 worldwide, is expected to stream online approximately a month after its theatrical debut.

The first two parts of the
Drishyam franchise are streaming on
Prime Video. The contract between the makers and the OTT platform can’t be breached. According to early reports, a minimum
30 to 35-day theatrical window will be maintained.
Drishyam 3 might debut on Prime Video by the end of
June or early July.
Drishyam 3 vs Amazon row
Earlier in April, Amazon issued a public notice clarifying that it is the sole and exclusive holder of all digital rights of
Drishyam 3 and that any entity dealing with the film or its digital rights in contravention of the platform's exclusivity would be doing so at its own risk. In a statement, Amazon Seller Services Private Limited mentioned, "The public is hereby cautioned that Amazon holds these rights to the exclusion of all others, and Aashirvad Cinemas (including its assignees, licensees and any other person purportedly authorized by Aashirvad Cinemas) has no authority to sell, license, or in any manner create any third-party interest, lien, or charge over the digital rights for the film."
The company further warned that any person, entity, or digital platform dealing with the film or its digital rights in contravention of Amazon's exclusivity shall do so at their own risk, cost, and consequences. Amazon reserves the right to initiate appropriate legal proceedings, including seeking injunctive relief and damages, against any party found to be infringing upon its exclusive rights or interfering with its contractual relationship regarding the film.

Malayalam version of
Drishyam 3 has been mounted on a budget of Rs 100 crore.
Drishyam 3 also stars Meena, Esther Anil, and Ansiba Hassan. The film is backed by Aashirvad Cinemas and Panorama Studios.
