Prominent
actor Suriya has taken over the theatres once again. With the widespread love from the film fraternity, fans, and critics, his latest starrer Karrupu has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark in India itself. Predominantly working in Tamil films, the actor has created a huge space for himself in the Indian cinema. Amid the celebration for Karrupu, the Telugu-dubbed version of the film, titled Veerabhadrudu, also garnered widespread love and acclaim. About Karrupu
Karrupu follows the story of a father and his ailing daughter, who are troubled with the legal system. As they are looted of their gold, god himself takes the form of a lawyer (Suriya) as Advocate Saravanan to help the duo. But when he meets his opponent and a corrupt advocate, Baby Kannan (RJ Balaji), he is tasked to play by human rules, apart from his divine powers.
