Post Malone To Perform In Guwahati; Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Calls It A 'Historic Occasion'

singer, rapper, songwriter and actor Post Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) is all set to woo the audience in Assam. The singer who blends various genres including pop, hip-hop, trap, R&B, and country will be performing in Guwahati, the state's capital. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted about it on X, calling it a historic occasion.Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the Assam CM tweeted, "For the first time ever, global music icon and Grammy nominated artist, Post Malone will be performing in Guwahati- a historic occasion which places our city firmly on the world entertainment map." He went on to add, "My best wishes on this occasion and I hope everyone loves Assam's hospitality."

Earlier in the day, the Assam CM had held a media conference where he said, “This is in fact a rare occasion, for our state. An artist whose influence is in entire globe and he is ranked at number 4 or 5 ... and two days back I saw his show in Abu Dhabi. For the first time Assam is going to witness the performance of a global icon. I warmly welcome him to the land of Maa Kamakhya and extend my best wishes for a memorable show."

For the first time, a globally top-ranked artist is performing live in our city."During the media briefing, the Assam CM also said he plans on bringing Shakira to Assam in the next couple of years as well. He also said he plans to bring a big artist to Dibrugarh as well.This is the first ever solo concert that is being hosted by the Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati. The ground is set to host 30,000 people for the Post Malone concert.
