Best Actor Award for the year 2025 for his role in the film. This marks Mammootty's 12th State Award and 7th Best Actor Award, a milestone in his illustrious career spanning 50 years. In an exclusive chat with Zoom, Rahul Sadasivan has opened up about the legendary actor winning an award for a film directed by him.

Bramayugam bagged several awards at the Kerala State Awards, including Best Actor – Mammootty, Best Character Actor (Male) – Sidharth Bharathan, Best Music Director (Score) – Christo Xavier, and Best Makeup Artist – Ronex Xavier. Speaking about the major sweep, Rahul Sadasivan said "I am very happy, that the film won in so many categories. And I feel especially thrilled because I worked with the legend Mammootty sir, and him winning an award for Bramayugam....I feel honoured."
Ask him if the actor loved his film from the word go and he says, "Mammootty sir was very excited after he heard the script. After that, we developed the character a bit more. He didn't have any inhibitions when he knew that he plays a menacing role in it."In a recet post, the film's producers Ramachandra Chakravarthy (Night Shift Studios) and S. Sashikanth (YNOT Studios) extended heartfelt gratitude to the Kerala State Government, the jury, critics, media, and audiences for recognizing their film’s creative vision. “These honours reaffirm our belief in the power of experimentation and storytelling,” they said. “Such recognition inspires us to continue producing films that challenge conventions and expand the cinematic imagination of Kerala. Our sincere thanks to our director, cast, crew, and every viewer who embraced Bramayugam.”Bramayugam was released on 15 February 2024 in black-and-white format. The film was a box office success, grossing over Rs 85 crore and became one of the highest grossing Malayalam films of 2024.Rahul Sadasivan is currently basking in the success of his film Dies Irae starring Pranav Mohanlal in the lead.
