The film brings together two of Hindi cinema’s powerhouse performers, Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, reuniting on screen after decades in an intense courtroom drama. Premiering July 10, Ikka unfolds as a high-stakes legal battle where personal history, moral conflict, and clashing ideologies collide. At the centre is a celebrated lawyer forced to defend a man from his past, whose return reopens old wounds and compels him to take on a case that challenges everything he believes in. Speaking about the film, director Siddharth P Malhotra said in a statement that Ikka has challenged him ‘emotionally and creatively’. He shared, “It was one of the first stories I ever wanted to bring to the screen. What drew me to IKKA was the opportunity to tell a courtroom story that focuses as much on personal relationships and emotional dilemmas as it does on the pursuit of justice.” Malhotra added, “To finally tell this story with a cast of the calibre of Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Dia Mirza and Tillotama Shome feels truly special. According to the makers, Ikka is a personal script nurtured for years that unfolds as a riveting face-off between two arch-rivals: a top lawyer forced to defend the man whose past with him and his wife holds many painful memories. The thriller promises to be deeply emotional. “A father’s unyielding quest to shield his family, even at the cost of his principles, in a deal with the devil.
