The actress is reportedly getting married to longtime beau Vijay Deverakonda in February and looks like the actress has managed to work her shooting dates around the wedding. Rashmika has quietly begun shooting for Atlee’s much-awaited next with Allu Arjun, tentatively titled AA22xA6. However, following the completion of her current schedule, Rashmika is expected to take a brief break from the film.

Rashmika starts shooting for Allu Arjun film

As per Variety India, Rashmika joined the sets of AA22xA6 on Tuesday and will be shooting until mid-February in Mumbai. The ongoing schedule is said to be an intensive, month-long indoor stint focusing largely on action-heavy blocks and emotionally charged dramatic sequences. During this phase, the actress will be filming key portions alongside Allu Arjun, Janhvi Kapoor and Jim Sarbh. As per rumours, Rashmika will get married to Vijay Deverakonda on February 26 in Udaipur.

The film marks Rashmika and Allu Arjun’s first collaboration after the massive success of the Pushpa franchise. However, unlike their previous outing, their characters are not romantically paired in AA22xA6. As per several media reports, Rashmika will be seen in a negative role - a very big change from her earlier screen image of playing the sweet, bubbly girl. The character is being described as the boldest and most daring of her career so far.

Directed by Atlee, AA22xA6 is envisioned as a large-scale, VFX-heavy action spectacle set in a parallel universe. Allu Arjun reportedly plays multiple roles in the film, making it one of the most ambitious projects of his career. The pan-India film also boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu. Production began in June 2025 and is expected to wrap up by the second half of this year, with the makers eyeing a grand worldwide theatrical release in 2027.

Rashmika-Vijay finally getting married?

Meanwhile, details surrounding Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding continue to make headlines. As per a Filmfare report, the couple is planning a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad following their Udaipur ceremony.

The reception is expected to be attended by close friends from the film industry and prominent figures from the Telugu film fraternity, with whom both actors share strong ties. Interestingly, reports also suggest that Rashmika and Vijay had earlier gotten engaged at the Arjun Reddy star’s residence in Hyderabad last year.
