Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda may be newcomers, but the frenzy around their on-screen chemistry has eclipsed that of many seasoned Bollywood pairings. From viral edits to public speculation, fans were convinced
a real-life romance was brewing. Now, Ahaan has finally addressed the rumours head-on, and set the record straight.
Ahaan is NOT dating Aneet Padda
Ahaan Panday has officially shut down the widespread rumours linking him to his
Saiyaara co-star Aneet Padda, clarifying that while their connection is undeniably deep, it is strictly platonic. The young actor spoke candidly in a recent interview with
GQ India, ending months of fan theories, gossip-page speculation, and industry chatter. The pairing of Ahaan and Aneet took Bollywood by storm this year. Their debut film
Saiyaara became an instant cultural moment and social media crowned them the next big 'it' couple. The buzz escalated when Karan Johar publicly hinted that the duo could evolve into one of Bollywood’s most celebrated pairings. But Ahaan has now placed all rumours firmly to rest.Addressing the romantic speculation, he said, “Aneet is my best friend. The whole internet thinks we’re together, but we’re not.”Ahaan went on to explain that the bond they share,, one that fans have interpreted as romance, is rooted in emotional safety and artistic comfort. “Chemistry isn’t always romantic - it’s about comfort, safety, and being seen. We’ve both made each other feel that,” he said. “Even though she’s not my girlfriend, I’ll never have a bond like I have with Aneet.”

Both were drawn to the Paulo Coelho quote, “It’s the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting,” which Ahaan described as prophetic. “We dreamed this together, and it came true. What we’ve shared is so special,” he added.
Ahaan-Aneet's first meeting
Ahaan also recounted his very first meeting with Aneet. He recalled, “I first met Aneet in Mohit sir’s office. She was running late for the meeting; not her fault, though, since she had another commitment before that. Mohit sir doesn’t like people being late, so he was getting worked up. I didn’t know what to do, so I started doing damage control; I picked up the guitar and began clowning around, singing terribly just to distract him. Then Aneet walks in wearing a yellow dress, such a strong presence; so eloquent, articulate, intelligent.”With Ahaan’s clarification, the narrative shifts back to where he insists it belongs, celebrating a rare, genuine, deeply supportive friendship rather than forcing a love story onto two young artists taking their first steps in Bollywood.
