WhatsApp Will Soon Allow You To Save Expired Status Updates Automatically

In good news for WhatsApp users, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform is reportedly working on an Instagram-like feature, that will allow Android users keep their expired status updates in a private archive. Similar to the Instagram, the upcoming feature will give you a simple way to automatically store and manage status updates after they disappear. Currently, WhatsApp Status updates disappear after 24 hours and cannot be accessed again unless users have saved the content separately on their device. Other users will not be able to access these saved updates. the feature is created to help users keep memories and important content without changing the temporary nature of Status updates for viewers.Users who receive the feature can enable Status Archive from the Storage and Data section in WhatsApp settings.Once turned on, expired Status updates will be saved automatically. Users can access them through the Updates tab by selecting the Status Archive option. WhatsApp is also adding access to archived Status updates through the Manage Storage section.The feature is currently available to a small group of users running the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version. WhatsApp has not confirmed when the feature will be released to all users, but a wider rollout is expected in the coming weeks.
