Prabhas'
horror comedy, The Raja Saab, received mixed reactions upon its theatrical release on January 9. Directed by Maruthi, the film was one of the most anticipated movies of 2026. Unfortunately, the horror comedy didn't live up to audiences' expectations. Despite the response that it received, The Raja Saab has performed well in India and overseas. Although the film received mixed to negative reviews, it has managed to gross over Rs 112 crore globally. At the recent press conference, director Maruthi recalled how Allu Arjun called him to congratulate on the film's success.

We have made something new with this film and we are very happy with the response."Further, he added, "Please celebrate the film like a festival. It is a gift from us before any festival, to bring you this film. We worked really hard on The Raja Saab so it means a lot to all of us. Thank you so much."
