Meta-owned instant messaging giant WhatsApp is working on a new Instagram-like feature for Status updates, allowing users to save drafts and finish them later. The feature is already rolling out to some
beta testers. Recently, WhatsApp added a draft-saving tool for chats, allowing users to quickly identify conversations where a message was typed but not sent. This made it simpler to keep track of unfinished thoughts and avoid forgetting important messages. Now, the popular messaging platform is bringing this concept to the Status section.According to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, some beta testers can now see a new option inside the status editor that lets them save any unfinished update. If someone starts creating a status -- whether it's text, stickers, drawings, or a photo edit -- but cannot complete it immediately, they can simply save it and continue later.ALSO READ: From Missed Call Alerts To Status Stickers, WhatsApp Rolls Out Major Update For Indian Users: Check Full List Here This is especially helpful for users who are interrupted mid-edit or for those who like to plan their updates carefully.Earlier, users who wanted to save an edited photo or half-written caption had to send it to themselves in a chat.
