Peddi, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani was originally slated for release on March 27, 2026, the film was later pushed to April 30, 2026. Speculation about another delay began circulating after a viral video featuring producer SKN suggested that Peddi might release on June 26, 2026.
This created confusion among fans, many of whom were eagerly awaiting official confirmation. However, it was later revealed that the statement was the result of a misunderstanding during a public event. Putting all rumors to rest, Ram Charan addressed the issue while promoting his cousin Niharika Konidela's film Raakaasaa. He confirmed that Peddi is going as planned and remains on track for its April 30, 2026 release. He also said that the talkie portions of the film have been completed. Only one song remains to be shot. This update has calmed fans and made them more confident that the film will release as planned.
SKN and Sai Rajesh Issue Clarifications
Addressing the controversy, SKN clarified that he had misinterpreted a conversation amid loud crowd reactions. He explained that he was being asked about another project when co-producer Sai Rajesh mentioned seeing tweets about a possible new date for Peddi.Due to the confusion, SKN mistakenly assumed the June release date had been officially confirmed and announced it publicly.Sai Rajesh also spoke about the error and issued an apology, calling it a blunder. He said that he had only referenced social media speculation and never meant it to be taken as an official update.
