the meeting as “heartbreaking yet profoundly human,” revealing that Madhu is struggling with memory loss, and her awareness of Satish’s passing comes and goes in phases.

On Friday, Anupam posted a heartfelt video on X (formerly known as Twitter), where he reflected on his visit. In the caption, written in Hindi, he admitted that he felt nervous before meeting Madhu. Aware that she was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, he didn’t know what she remembered or how to approach the topic of Satish’s death. Despite his hesitation, he decided to visit her and promised before leaving that he would continue to check in on her.In the video, Anupam shared that Madhu initially recognised him and thanked him for visiting. However, as their conversation went on, her memory began to fade. He explained, “Her recollection comes in phases. She asked how I was, and I didn’t know whether to mention Satish. I was afraid it might bring back her grief.”

At one point, Madhu asked about Anupam’s wife, Kirron Kher, and for a fleeting moment, the reality of Satish’s passing returned to her. Anupam recalled, “For a flicker of a second, she said chala gaya (he’s gone). Madhu complimented Kirron’s sarees, prompting Anupam to respond, “Kirron often says Madhu is very pretty. Satish was lucky to have her as his wife.” Madhu smiled and replied, “I don’t mind that.” Reflecting on the conversation, Anupam confessed, “I felt selfish for thinking she wasn’t feeling her loss. Her struggle is beyond what we can imagine.”

The moment that broke him came as he was leaving. “Madhu said, ‘Come again for lunch, but he may not be there.’ I held back my tears until I stepped outside, and then I couldn’t control myself,” he said. Ending his message with a heartfelt reminder, Anupam urged everyone to cherish their loved ones, saying, “Life is fragile; take care of your parents, siblings, and friends. Don’t live with regrets.”

Satish Shah dies at 74

Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25 at the age of 74 after suffering a heart attack at his Mumbai home. Though he had recently undergone a kidney transplant, close friend and co-star Rajesh Kumar confirmed that the cause was cardiac arrest, not kidney failure. His funeral was held on Sunday, followed by a prayer meet on Monday, where family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay tribute to the actor.
