FMC has warned them not to use the title illegally."We wish to bring in your kind notice that you are releasing a film 'Ghooskhor Pandať produced by Mr Neeraj Pandey of Friday Story Tellers LLP on your esteemed channel Netflix. The title of the film 'Ghooskhor Pandať has not been applied or granted by any of the Producers' Associations. The unauthorized use of the title is illegal as per the rules and regulations of Film Makers Combine. We have already sent a letter to the producers for the illegal use of the title by them," the body wrote.They requested the makers to "restrain using the title for the film."

Ghooskhor Pandat Controversy EXPLAINEDGhooskhor Pandat was announced earlier this week. But instead of excitement, the film’s teaser faced criticism. For those who don’t know, the combination of 'Ghooskhor' - meaning a corrupt person who takes bribes - and 'Pandat' has offended the Brahmin community.However, issuing a clarification, director Neeraj Pandey said, "Our film is a fictional cop drama, and the term “Pandat” is used simply as a colloquial name for a fictional character. The story focuses on an individual’s actions and choices and does not comment on or represent any caste, religion, or community. "The film is set to release on Netflix later this year. However, it’s still unclear if it will face a ban before streaming. Meanwhile, the makers have taken down the teaser.
