Telugu actress Pavala Shyamala, who has been battling a heart-related illness, reportedly faced a distressing situation on Friday, May 15, after approaching a private hospital in Hyderabad for treatment. According to reports, the actress visited a hospital in Kukatpally seeking medical care but was allegedly denied treatment due to financial constraints. Hospital authorities reportedly got her in a cab for her after refusing admission. However, the situation became more concerning when the cab driver allegedly left her stranded.

After the driver left her on the streets, she was seen wandering in a confused state. Passersby who recognised the actress alerted the police, following which authorities arrived at the spot and contacted the RK Foundation for assistance. Dr Ramakrishna, head of the RK Foundation, later stated to media portal
Siasat that Pavala Shyamala had been receiving free treatment at their foundation for the past two to three years. However, since the facility did not have specialised cardiology services, she had to seek treatment elsewhere. He further said that she is currently undergoing treatment at another hospital and is expected to return to the foundation soon.

This is not the first time Pavala Shyamala’s financial and medical struggles have been reported. Back in 2021, filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK urged fans on social media to support the veteran actress, describing her condition as extremely difficult. They shared details of a fundraiser launched on Milaap, which revealed that the actress had been struggling to meet even basic needs.The fundraiser also mentioned that her daughter was bedridden and suffering from tuberculosis, adding to the family’s hardships. According to the campaign details, Pavala Shyamala had even sold her awards and trophies to arrange money for treatment and daily expenses.
Over the years, several members of the Telugu film industry have reportedly stepped forward to support her. Actor Sai Durgha Tej extended financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh through the Film Journalist Association and assured the actress of continued support from the industry. Pavala Shyamala reportedly became emotional while expressing gratitude during a video interaction with the actor.The actress has also previously acknowledged financial help received from Megastar Chiranjeevi. More recently, reports claimed that Allu Arjun extended monetary assistance to the veteran actress.
