However, he succumbed to injuries sustained from the attack and falling into freezing waters. Babu was posthumously awarded Maha Vir Chakra (MVC), the country's second highest war time gallantry award, by India’s former President Ram Nath Kovind.

Nayanthara has joined Salman in the yet-to-be-titled movie. Director Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju have previously collaborated on five successful films together. It is their first with the Bollywood star.
