Stranger Things 5: Investigation Into Millie Bobby Brown’s Alleged Complaint Against David Harbour ‘Resolved’- Report
Times Now
The final season of Stranger Things has almost arrived amid controversy involving two of its biggest stars, Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour. Reports surfaced earlier this month that Brown had filed
a complaint of bullying and harassment against her co-star before filming began on Season 5. Despite the off-screen tension, the duo appeared united at the Los Angeles premiere, smiling, posing for selfies, and interacting on the red carpet. While both actors have remained silent on the issue, a report by a news portal stated that an internal investigation took place and has since been resolved.
Here's what went wrong between Millie Bobby Brow and David Harbour
According to Variety, sources close to Stranger Things confirmed that Netflix conducted an investigation into Millie Bobby Brown’s complaint of bullying and harassment against David Harbour, which has now been 'resolved'. The report comes days after the Daily Mail claimed that Brown had filed the complaint before production began on the final season. At the Los Angeles premiere on November 6, both actors appeared to set aside any rumoured differences. Harbour and Brown arrived together, shared hugs, and took photos with fans. Brown told Entertainment Tonight that she shares a “special bond” with Harbour, calling their on-screen father-daughter relationship one of the most meaningful parts of her journey. Harbour, who gave only one interview at the event, echoed similar warmth, saying he was “proud to watch all of them grow up and become such great artists.”
PR analysts told Variety that the friendly interactions appeared to be intentional. “The goal in these situations is to make it no worse,” said one crisis expert, suggesting Netflix wanted to emphasise unity and keep the focus on the series rather than the controversy. Representatives for both stars and Netflix declined to comment. However, showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer and executive producer Shawn Levy stressed the importance of maintaining a respectful and safe environment for their cast in response to Hollywood Reporter's question. “This team has always been like family,” Levy said. For those unaware, the first four episodes of the final season of Stranger Things are set to premiere on Netflix on November 26.
